College Assistant/Assistant to the Chief Librarian

JOB SUMMARY:
Assists Chief Librarian and Dissertation Assistant with general day to day operations of the Office of the Chief Librarian
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists Dissertation Assistant with scheduling Dissertation/Thesis Deposit meetings, packing and shipping printed copies of dissertations and theses and distributing bound copies.
- Assists Chief Librarian and Systems Librarian with special projects as needed
- Assists Circulation manager with CLICS & copier service
- General office work including filing, sorting and photocopying
REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency with Microsoft Office software; ability to work in Excel and to do mail-merges highly desirable; flexibility in terms of work assignments; ability to follow directions and procedures and to work independently; attention to detail.
Must demonstrate sufficient skills to perform assigned duties; office experience necessary; good organizational skills, good interpersonal and communications skills including telephone; ability to adapt to clerical support duties in several diverse library areas.
HOURS: Up to 20 hours/week M-F during regular business hours (9-5). Morning schedule preferred
