Database Trials

The Graduate Center has a trial through December 2 to American Antiquarian Society Historical Periodicals Collection, covering dozens of U.S. newspapers from 1691 to 1865. Although this collection is divided into four groups, all titles may be searched by entering one of the groups and selecting Choose Databases. The Graduate Center also has trials through November 19 to The Early Republic, a collection of primary material documenting the actions, debates, and thoughts of the First Federal Congress (1789-1791) and its members, with 17,000 annotated pages and 250 images; Encyclopedia of American Studies, offering 750 articles and biographies and accompanying bibliographies in all areas of American studies; and the Papers of Dwight David Eisenhower, including the most significant letters, memoranda, cables, and directives written or dictated by Eisenhower from the years prior to World War II through the full term of his presidency. These and previously announced trials may be found at the library’s Trial Databases page.
