Thanks to the Student Tech Fee, the Mina Rees Library and IT have recently deployed a new USB [analog] tape deck and MAC Mini that has the ability to digitize [analog] audio cassettes. Learn more and how here and here.

Art Source Trial

The Graduate Center has a trial through March 25 to Art Source, a new EBSCO resource which includes the text of 630 international journals, indexing and abstracting from many more academic journals, magazines, and trade publications, the text of 220 books, 63,000 images, art reproduction records, and museum podcasts.

Bookscanners

The library wants to remind the community that desktop bookscanners’ location have changed. Desktop scanners are now available on the table between the reference and help desks on the second floor. Now there are a total of 4 desktop models; the latest two,deployed last week, financed with the Student Technology Fee. More info here.

Intro to RefWorks and Zotero Webinar Video

The webinar supplies a brief overview of two citation managers supported by the library, Zotero and Refworks. Topics discussed include pros and cons of each product, how to add references to the manager, and how to add citations to word documents.
