Description:
Interior image of the Pennsylvania Station concourse showing the vaulted ceiling, clock and travelers. It is prime example of the Beaux-Arts interior styling for which McKim, Mead & White were renowned. Constructed of steel, glass and travertine, the space was modeled after the Roman Baths of Caracalla and was one of the largest indoor public spaces in the world at the time.
