Silent Film Online

The Graduate Center has a trial through October 13 to Silent Film Online, offering 251 titles, including Battleship Potemkin, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, The General, Intolerance, Metropolis, and Nosferatu.

Video Library Trial

The Graduate Center has a trial through May 30 to Filmakers Library Online, a collection of 913 documentaries covering such topics as anthropology, dance, demographics, economics, education, environment, family, fine arts, health, history, literature, medicine, musicology, poltiics, psychology, race and culture, religion, science and technology, sexuality and gender, sociology, war, and women’s issues.

Art Auction Catalogs

The Graduate Center has a trial through December 31, 2011, to Auction Catalogs, offering over 1,500 digitized auction catalogs from the collections of the Frick Art Reference Library and the Thomas J. Watson Library at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The digitized catalogs date from the 18th through early 20th centuries.

New JSTOR Content

As of March 31, all of CUNY has access to JSTOR Collection VIII, providing the full text of 88 journals, bringing the total of titles available to 1,420. As of January 25, CUNY has access to 46,000 scholarly books in all disciplines from ebrary. Art and Film Images

As of October 14 CUNY subscribes to Art Museum Image Gallery, including 155,000 images from museums around the world, and Cinema Image Gallery, including 200,000 photographs and posters from the Kobal Collection. These resources may be searched together with Art Full Text.
