What do I have to do to register copyright?
Nothing. Copyright protection is automatic, but you may register with the U.S. Copyright Office. You can register your dissertation when at the time of deposit by simply checking a box and paying the Copyright fee. Additional information on registering copyright is available at http://www.copyright.gov/register.
The rights to:
- Reproduce
- Prepare Derivative Works
- Distribute
- Display Publicly
- Perform Publicly
and, the right to authorize other to exercise any of these rights.
