Endnote, like Refworks and Zotero, is a citation mangment tool that collects and organizes your selected citations and research notes. Use it to create a personal research library that is searchable and manageable. Enter citations manually or automatically; generate footnotes and bibliography.
Endnote is licenced for computer download by CUNY Graduate Center affiliates. Carry your personal Endnote library on a jump drive to use with Endnote software on other computers. You can use Endnote without being connected to the Internet.
Add references to an Endnote library four ways: directly export from a database; import using an Endnote filter; search a database within Endnote; or enter data manually.
Endnote generates footnotes and bibliographies in 3600 citation styles including APA, MLA, and Chicago.
The Cite While You Write feature inserts and formats footnotes and bibliography in Word documents. Your Endnote library must be open to generate references and bibliography.
EndNote Web is an online, streamlined version of EndNote, useful for collaborative projects. Login to Endnote Web through the Web of Science databases, which are designed especially for Endnote users.
