If you have Word installed on your computer, Cite While You Write will be automatically installed when you install Endnote. If you install Word after Endnote you must run the EndNote installer again.

Cite While You Write is not installed on Graduate Center computers. Every time you login to a network computer to use Cite While You Write, you must:.

Change the security level for macro virus protection

1. On the Tools menu, click Macro
2. Select Security
3. Click the Security tab
4. You will see some options.  Choose low security

Load the EndNote add-in program...so the EndNote menu bar appears in Word 

1. On the Tools menu, click Templates and Add-Ins
2. Under Global templates and add-ins, select the check box next to
EN10CWYW.dot and EN10wyw.WordXP.wll
3. If these add-ins do not appear in the box, click Add, switch to the folder that contains the template or add-in you want, click it, and then click . The add ins are in \program files\Endnote 9\.
