Getting in via Library Proxy
- Graduate Center computer network account username/password required
- Graduate Center students, faculty, staff and recent graduates (1 year) only
- Same login as your Graduate Center email account
- Reset account password every 180 days
How to Access Databases
- Go to library databases or GC e-Journal Finder
- Click on a database name OR e-Journal title OR
- Click on a Google Scholar "Fulltext at GC" or "Find It" link
- Enter username/password as prompted
- Failure? read on
GC IT Network Accounts
- New users must login and reset password
- Longtime students, faculty, and staff with suspended accounts contact the Information Technology Help Desk at (212) 817-7300 or helpdesk@gc.cuny.edu. Suspended accounts require in-person Help Desk application with current GC ID card. Or scan/fax current photo ID to 212-817-1618.
Reset your Password from Off Campus
Reset the password every 180 days via webmail, or see IT Help Desk with current GC ID. Change is prompted by email and login messages:
- Go to https://wa.gc.cuny.edu
- Login using your Graduate Center username and password
- Click on options in the left side menu
- Scroll down to password reset option and double click
- Type the domain "acad" in the form, then reset your password
CUNY Library Barcode
- CUNY Office of Library Services offers access to CUNY-wide databases
- Click on resource name, enter 14-digit CUNY library barcode number without spacesĀ
- All CUNY-wide and GC only databases are available via the GC library proxy server
Graduate Center Citrix for Scifinder Scholar
- If Scifinder Scholar is not installed on your local computer, use via GC Citrix
- download and install the GC Citrix client on your computer
- revisit the GC Citrix site
- login with your GC IT network account userid/pwd
- Under "Applications," Click on the Library folder
