Depositing Digital Files

You will be required to deposit a digital copy (pdf) of your dissertation and a digital copy of any accompanying files, if any.

  1. Go to the ProQuest/Mina Rees Library dissertation web site at: http://dissertations.umi.com/minarees/. FAQs and tutorials about the electronic submission process and creating PDF files are available on the site.

  2. Establish an account and enter contact information.
     Select from among the four publishing options.

  3. Read and complete the publishing agreements that authorizes ProQuest  to publish your dissertation electronically and in microfilm. This firm will retain the PDF file and the negative microfilm copy. Permission to withhold the dissertation from microfilming and/or public access for a specified period of time may be granted only by the Vice President for Student Affairs.
       
  4. Use the online translator to translate the final copy of your dissertation Microsoft Word or rtf file into a PDF document.

  5. Students are responsible for reviewing the accuracy of their dissertation copies prior to submission. The final copies must be free from all typographical errors and correct in every detail of style and format. Print copies must be unbound, un-punched, and in typing-paper boxes or in envelopes.
