Alternative Search Method:

  1. Search the database, Digital Dissertations.
    For dissertations by program, search subject and school code 0046 or City University of New York

    OR

  2. Search CUNY+ by author and/or title or by program
    • ALL FIELDS enter: ["program name"], e.g. "educational psychology" - make sure you use the quotation marks ; and,
    • ALL FIELDS enter: dissertation or theses.
      Cataloging for 1986-87 is in progress.

U.S. and Canadian Dissertations

  1. Search the database, Dissertation Abstracts.
    Includes citation, abstracts. From 1997+, first 24 pages may be viewed online. Request via Interlibrary Loan or purchase from ProQuest ($41+ plus tax)
  2. Supplement results by searching other U.S. Dissertation lists and databases in your discipline. Some institutions provide direct access to the full-text of their dissertations.
  3. For UK Dissertations, search Ethos, and request via Interlibrary Loan

Master's Theses

  1. Search CUNY+ by author, title or program. To search by program, search: "city university of new york masters program in [program name]".
  2. Master's theses are located on the 2nd floor of the library, shelved by year then author's last name.
