Final page of a forty-six page annual report of the canal commissioners communicated to the legislature on January 15, 1819. This report was addressed to the New York State Legislature in obedience to the act entitled An act respecting navigable communications between the Western and Northern Lakes and the Atlantic Ocean which was passed on April 15th, 1817. The table shows a list of cases that had been approved for compensation for damages incurred to goods shipped along the canal line between Utica and the Seneca River in 1818. Total damages awarded were $1,686.
