A twenty-nine page annual report to the Legislature of the State of New York in reference to the Erie Canal. By the time of the issuance of this report, the middle section of the Erie Canal had been completed so that large boats have actually navigated it, for the distance of seventy-five miles. The report summarizes the progress to date and was submitted on February 18, 1820 by De Witt Clinton, Stephen Van Rensselaer, Samuel Young, Myron Holley, and Henry Seymour.
