a Journal Article

1. If you know the title of the
journal, select the Journals tab.

2. Enter the
title of your journal in the top box to find electronic formats available at
the Grad Center Library.
3. If your
search for e-formats produces results, click on the database name.
4. From the database, select the cited year to browse to your article.
5. Enter your
journal title in the lower box to find print and micro formats. Search for your
journal title here if it is unavailable in electronic format.
6. Find the
journal title in the CUNY catalog listing; click on the college to get location
and issues available.
8. Find Grad
Center journals shelved by title or microfilm shelved by drawer number.
9. If your
article is unavailable at the Graduate Center Library, request it through
InterLibrary Loan (ILL).
If you
request an article via ILL and it is available at the GC, your ILL request will
be cancelled.
Most ILL
articles arrive within days in PDF format. You receive email notice to log in
to your ILLiad account to retrieve articles as they arrive.
