Find-It Links

Find-it links connect you to articles or books you find in a library database or in Google Scholar. Find-it links to the Grad Center library's full-text resources first, second to print holdings in the CUNY+ catalog. If a citation is unavailable in both, Find-it prompts you to request it through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and autofills your request form!
Use the Worldcat database with Find-it for fastest book delivery. Find-it via Worldcat makes staff review unnecessary, which may save 1-3 days in turnaround time.
1. First get into Worldcat, the most comprehensive database of Western library holdings. From the databases page, scroll to W::

2. Search WorldCat by keyword, author, or title. Find a citation, then look for the Find-it button within the record and click on it.
3. If a book is available in CUNY libraries, request the book through CLICS.
4. If it is unavailable in CUNY, follow the Find-it links to your ILLiad account.
5. Enter your ILLiad userid/pwd and the request is autofilled. Then send.
Questions? email kreiss@gc.cuny.edu with the name of the database involved and, if possible, the problematic citation.
