ABOUT GC WIRELESS NETWORKS:
There are two wireless networks at the Graduate Center, GCcommunity and GCguest.
The GCcommunity wireless network is intended for use by GC students, faculty and staff; it provides access to internal GC resources similar to those available on the wired network. This includes internal websites, printing and network file shares. The GCguest wireless network is for use by guests and visitors to the Graduate Center. It provides access to the Internet via the web and other selected standard protocols; peer-to-peer file sharing is not permitted. The GCguest network allows access to library databases, and access to other GC network resources is available via GC Remote IT Services (Citrix).
ACCESSING WIRELESS NETWORKS:
GCcommunity: Graduate Center students, faculty and staff can use the GCcommunity wireless network, which is secured and encrypted. In order to connect to GCcommunity, you will need to use your current GC network username and password. The first time you connect, some configuration of your computer, smartphone or other wireless device will be required.
