Ask-a-Librarian features 24/7 chat and email forms. Select email to guarantee response from a Graduate Center librarian. Grad Center and CUNY librarians answer most chat questions from CUNY users.
Appointments
Subject Librarians are available by phone and email to consult about research projects. Schedule an appointment to work with a subject librarian one-on-one on: dissertation research, literature reviews, search strategies. Referrals
Librarians facilitate access to CUNY libraries, the New York Public Library, METRO member libraries, and beyond. Librarians issue day-long Metro Referral Cards for access to libraries in the Metro area.
The New York Public Library offers the Wertheim Study room to GC students and faculty where NYPL books may be stored without reshelving. Apply to use the Wertheim Study room at the Humanities & Social Sciences Library with a valid GC ID in the NYPL Office of Special Collections, room 315. Letters from a GC librarian required upon 9-month renewal.
