Creative Commons Licenses Explained

June 3 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Scholarly Communication Workshop Series logo

You’ve likely heard of Creative Commons (CC) licenses. But what exactly are they, and how do they differ from traditional copyright and “all rights reserved”? How many CC licenses are there, what do they have in common, and how do they differ? Further, what really is a commercial use? And what really is a derivative work? Finally, how can you use CC-licensed works, and how can you apply CC licenses to your own works?

Join us for answers to these questions — and to discuss any additional questions you might have!
